Ray-Ban is an American-founded Italian brand of luxury sunglasses and eyeglasses created in 1936 by Bausch & Lomb. The brand is best known for its Aviator lines of sunglasses.
In 1999, Bausch & Lomb sold the brand to the Italian eyewear conglomerate Luxottica Group; this was around the same time they stopped making the gold-plated frames. The glasses we offer on our site are all from before that time and are authentic gold-filled 10k frames. These vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses are a staple piece in your wardrobe.
Apart from the Aviator line, Ray-Ban has also been known for its Wayfarer models. Ray-Ban quickly rose to fame through celebrity endorsements, as it marketed itself as the brand of a fashion-conscious person. Each iconic pair that Ray-Ban has produced has a story behind it, specifically the Aviator line.
Ray-Ban established itself as a top-of-the-line brand long ago, creating breakthroughs that the company has incorporated into its latest lines of shades has elevated the consumer need by a large margin. Once it was released, everyone wanted a pair of original Ray-Bans and one iconic vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses pair.
Many vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses came along from the ‘30s to the' 60s - and onwards. Today, you can find an extensive range of Ray-Ban collections in our Genuine Vintage Sunglasses store.
